Is It Over?

Whenever a so-called Christian business is forced to treat LGBT people like actual human beings, they cry "discrimination," and it became common for right-wing groups to set up Internet begging sites to raise money for these poor souls.  The pizzeria in Chicago that said they wouldn't cater a gay wedding (never mind they were never actually =asked= to do so) howled about discrimination and received over $800,000.  But they lost way more business than that because they were forced to close.  Sweet Cakes bakery decided to close its doors entirely rather than serve LGBT customers, as Oregon law requires them to, but Internet donations poured in from right-wing donors.

So naturally, when Kim Davis went to jail, a donation site went up.  The National Organization for Marriage set up a donation site to help her out.  Eagerly, they awaited the money.

But very little showed up.

They started a big media blitz.  "Help Kim Davis!" they shouted.

That brought them in another . . . wait for it . . . $600.  As of today, they've only raise $7,400 dollars and change.

Have the right-wingers finally gotten donor fatigue?  Is the Internet begging over?  Can we be done with the whining?

I was reading an article about this the other day. I can't believe it's still going on. I just don't really understand how she thinks she has a leg to stand on. It really is so ridiculous.

Can't help my sense of Schadenfreude, though :D
