Chocolate, Toffee, and Crackers

I came across this recipe:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/trisha-yearwood/sweet-and-saltines-recipe.html

It's one of those sweet-and-salty desserts that are so in vogue right now.  They call it sweet and saltines.  Really, it's chocolate and toffee covered crackers.  It sounds weird, but I made it today, and it's really, really good.  It starts with a layer of crackers, followed by a layer of quick toffee (just butter and brown sugar boiled together for a few minutes), which you bake for a few more minutes. Then you sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate on top, let it soften, spread it smooth, and put it in the freezer to harden.  Break off pieces and eat.  Faster to make than a batch of cookies and sooooo good.

Except now I have this big pile of it.  It's very rich, and we can't handle more than a couple bites.  Darwin had one piece and it was enough.  Maksim felt the same way.

Maybe I'll ship some in a care package to Aran.

AKA "matzo crack" when made for Passover... (a much-loved treat in my family). The trick is to keep the toppings to a minimum, so the salt and sweet are balanced but not TOO rich...
